One of my favorite parts of being a photographer in Flagstaff is reconnecting with past clients as they reach new milestones. I first met Alex when I took his high school senior photos, and now he’s graduating! Alex’s Northern Arizona University graduation photos were special for the fact that we got to reconnect with my camera again. It’s awesome to see him again, all grown up and professional.

We braved some wild weather for Alex’s NAU graduation photos. The day brought snow and sleet, but that didn’t stop us from capturing some great shots. Old Main is one of the most iconic spots for Northern Arizona University graduation pictures, and even with the cold, it was the perfect backdrop. The brick architecture, the snowy atmosphere, and the timeless campus scenery made this session unforgettable.

Alex also brought his car, which gave us some fun variety. We took a few photos with it and, of course, classic cap, gown, and tassel shots. Even with freezing temperatures, Alex’s determination and easygoing personality came through in every image.

Alex has always been a kind and hardworking guy, and it’s no surprise he’s accomplished so much during his time at NAU. He did all his school work alongside completing two internships in the criminal justice system. He was also attending the Citizens Police Academy in Flagstaff to grow his network in the criminal justice field. I know his drive and dedication will take him far in his career after Northern Arizona University.

I personally feel like college grad photos aren’t just about the images, but about celebrating years of hard work, late-night studying, and the start of what’s next. Whether it’s snowing, raining, or sunny, these moments definitely deserve to be remembered!
