I send out a questionnaire to each of my senior clients before their session as a means to get to know them a little better. This helps me to capture them in a special way that is unique to their personalities. I absolutely LOVED reading through Michelle’s questionnaire before her fall Flagstaff senior photos.
As soon as I read through it, I thought, “This girl’s got some personality, and I love it!” She described herself as kind, and her answer to the question, “If you had $1000, what would you do with it?” was, “Give it to my parents!” To be so selfless as a high schooler really stopped me in my tracks.
I also loved learning about Michelle’s upbringing with her dad speaking only English and her mom speaking only Spanish and her having to translate for them all the time. We had her translate some Sublime songs for us in the car on the way back from her shoot in the forest. 😉
I had such a fun and laid-back time at Michelle’s shoot. We shot the first part of it at north NAU which, turns out, is incredibly gorgeous in the fall. Oh, the colors! My shoot assistant, Briana, was there and it turns out, both girls have known each other since kindergarten. They are both my Senior Influencers for the Class of 2020 as well! Michelle made me laugh a lot and I hope I was able to make her laugh as well. I usually try pretty hard to accomplish that.
I’m so excited to see what’s in store for you in the future, Michelle! I know you’re going to totally rock whatever you do. Keep in touch!
