I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I went to grade school and high school with Kendra’s mom! Can you believe I’m old enough to have a high school classmate with a daughter who is a senior in high school?! If you’re thinking, but Michelle – you look so young and act too lively to be that old…I know, I can’t believe it either. The weather was no on our side that day, but I still really enjoyed taking Kendra’s Mogollon High School senior portraits.
It was looking like a lovely day outside that morning but by the time 11 AM rolled around, things were getting dreary. At that point, Beth, my Flagstaff makeup artist, was already en route to our shoot location, so I decided we would press on despite what the weather ended up doing.
We were able to get in a quick, 30-minute mini-shoot before the rain took over, but what we got was perfect! Kendra looks exactly like her mom, and while I was editing her images, I kept accidentally calling her Erica in my mind. The two could pass for twins. I loved editing Kendra’s gorgeous brown eyes which really popped for me in her photos against the tan and olive green landscape.
Despite how freezing we were, Kendra did a great job at following my lead in each pose and rocking out a great session in the end. Congrats on your senior year, girl! I hope you’re able to make the most of it!
