It was such a gusty day and became even colder going up the mountain, but capturing Delaney’s Flagstaff High School senior pictures was such a blast. We started out at the Pioneer Museum to do a few photos in front of the two trains they have on the property. Delaney loved the black one because the engine was labeled as #12, and she loved how that correlated to her being in her twelfth year. Then we crossed the street to the Museum of Northern Arizona and hiked into a little spot on their property that shielded us from the wind (kind of). The Aspen trees growing in the area were gorgeous, so we spent a bit more time there while we were able to warm up a little. We wrapped her Flagstaff High School senior pictures shoot at Snowbowl, but we didn’t last long because of how cold it was there.
Delaney is such a gem of a girl, and she was super fun to hang out with. We loved spending time getting to know her in between shots talking about country music, boys, school, and her plans to attend cosmetology school after graduation. I love how genuine and real Delaney is. She isn’t the type of person to pretend to like something just because you like it. She speaks her mind and is all about real conversations. She is the epitome of authentic which is hard to find in today’s world driven by endless advertising, Instagram likes, and impossible standards. She currently works two different jobs and goes to school, so she is a hard worker and someone who will obviously do well no matter what she does.
I’m excited to get to know her more and spend more time with her over the next few months before she graduates from Flagstaff High School. Congrats on your near graduation, Delaney! We love you!
